NPI Test Engineer

Business Unit Description

NXP’s Automotive business unit offers sensor and processing technology that drives all aspects of the secure connected cars of today and the autonomous cars of tomorrow.

Job Summary:

• NPI bring up including test code generation, test program debug, test time and yield optimization (drive to entitlement test times and yield at production launch)
• Develop test hardware: probe card and FT hardware
• Develop test software or related test software tools for Advantest 93K testers e.g. Wafer test, characterization and final test program. Must be able to analyze and summarize characterization data
• Participate in cross core functional teams through NPI phased gates
• Transfer product to offshore factories (internal/external) post production ramp
• Interface with various Design centers (Chandler and Toulouse) to drive DFT methodology to reduce cost of test
• Participate in NPI & process improvement activities with Design, PE & TE, & Manufacturing
• Participate in Configuration and Requirement management

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in pcb schematic design
• C++ coding and debug experience
• Power management experience (LDO’s, DC/DC converters, etc.)
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
