      Basic Job Functions:

      The Data Analyst will work closely with teammates across all departments to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. Creating solutions that empower users to solve problems for themselves by providing user friendly/accessible/validated data analytics tools. Advancing the architecture of existing business intelligence/analytics solutions creating higher maintainability and faster turnaround on data value. Creating solutions using emerging data analytics technologies such as machine learning and data visualization software. Modeling safety and pushing towards the goal of becoming the world’s safest steel company. Driving the team towards being customer focused, quality driven, and environmentally responsible.

      Additional responsibilities include supporting the company/division/department initiatives, scheduling work activities, planning projects, coaching/developing teammates, resolving conflict, and fostering an environment of open communication and accountability.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      1. Experience building, developing, and maintaining reporting and dashboard systems (SAP BO, Crystal Reports, or PowerBI)
      2. Experience designing and developing reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics
      3. Bachelor’s Degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field or relevant

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of a code version control system
      • Completed and documented the following phases in a software development life cycle (SDLC): requirements gathering and analysis, design, implementation or coding, testing, and deployment.
      • Understanding of agile or waterfall software development methodologies
      • Source data from across the enterprise to migrate into various instances of Data Lakes/Warehouses/databases
      • Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
      • Experience with data models (SQL Server Analysis Services)
      • Experience building, developing, and maintaining Machine Learning Models (Python, Jupiter Notebooks, Microsoft ML solutions)
      • Understanding of data models, data integrations, and ETL tools
