Responsibilities:

The Non-Certified Nurse Aide performs a variety of resident related direct care duties, such as recording vital signs, transporting, transferring, toileting, positioning, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming residents, encouraging highest level of independence, and validating residents' concerns.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate/GED.

Experience: Previous experience as a caregiver is preferred, but not required.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Resident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests, & abilities
• Ability to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a resident.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Working knowledge of personal computers and related software
• Ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgments.
• Dependability, with the ability to follow direction.
• Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
