      All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong accredited Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.

      This twenty-six week Perioperative Internship Program at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offers a comprehensive introduction to perioperative services where nurses will learn to scrub and circulate. Designed for recent nurse graduates and registered nurses without previous operating room experience, the internship includes lecture, demonstrations, discussions, and practice sessions. Each intern is also assigned to a preceptor. Must pass NCLEX by beginning of internship.

      Operating Room Nurses at Johns Hopkins Bayview will scrub and circulate in a variety of service lines to include, but not limited to General, ENT, Vascular, Neurology (JHBMC is a certified stroke center), Trauma (JHBMC is a level II trauma center), Plastics (JHBMC is a regional burn center), Orthopedics, and GYN.

      Shift: Full-time, 8 hour days during the internship, permanent schedule to be decided upon completion of the internship
