The Nurse Intern performs the following basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. Must maintain the flexibility necessary for rapidly changing assignments. Performs the functions of a Nurse Intern in carrying out all assignments given by the registered nurse with a minimum of continuous supervision. Is accountable to the nurses for all patient care he/she gives during a shift. Is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and for promoting teamwork among co-workers. Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum required experience less than 1 year. High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required. Actively enrolled in a nursing program, completed at least one clinical medical surgical rotation, and within 15 months of completing a nursing degree program (BSN or ADN).
