      SUMMARY OF JOB

      Operating Room Nurse Manager - $6000 Sign On Bonus

      The Unit Manager, in accordance with the goals, policies, procedures and standards of his/her respective area(s) and the Hospital, is responsible for: supervising staff, managing daily operations of assigned Unit(s) 24/7. This includes overseeing and facilitating performance improvement, risk management, quality of care, customer satisfaction and cost-effective service delivery. Responsibilities also include planning, communicating, coordinating, collaborating, directing, assessing, and educating staff and others as needed to achieve high performance standards for the assigned Unit(s). As a professional nurse, assists with overall organization-wide or nursing department-wide initiatives to further improve the organization at large. Functions as charge nurse while on duty on Unit. Provides direct patient care when Unit’s patient needs exceed staff ability. Follows Hospital, Departmental and Unit policies and the Pennsylvania Nurse Practice Act.

      RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

      Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing

      Registered Nurse licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

      Basic and Advanced IV Certification required

      BLS Certification required

      ACLS preferred

      Specialty Certification preferred

      Must be able to work alternating shifts and be flexible

      Operating Room Nursing experience required

      At least 3 years of staff nurse experience required

      At least 1 year of health care supervisory experience required

      Demonstrates exemplary performance standards

      LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

      Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
