- Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with a master’s or doctoral degree aligned with the patient population and clinical role.
- 1+ years of experience as a nurse practitioner working in a surgical specialty
- Five (5) years of experience in Lymphedema, surgical oncology or plastic surgery as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience working in an Academic Medical Center
- Prior experience in clinical research
- Experience in a high patient volume Oncology practice/environment heavily preferred
- California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position.
- Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.
- Accepted Certifications for this position: FNP-C
- Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
- Complete a BRN recognized graduate master’s degree program as a nurse practitioner.
- Complete Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
- Current AHA BLS.
- State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice
- Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.
Job Summary
This Nurse Practitioner (NP) position will provide support to the Lymphedema Clinic as an educator, advocate and care provider and is responsible for the care, treatment, and well-being of patients throughout the UCSF Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center. The NP in the lymphedema clinic provides specialized care to patients with lymphedema in a thoughtful, creative, and timely manner. The NP will work closely with the Cancer Center Medical and Surgical Oncology practices, including satellite and ancillary clinics, to provide comprehensive patient care. The NP will participate in projects to support clinical practice, program operations, and research. Specific job duties will be reviewed annually based on volume and practice needs. This position may also be required to float to other Breast surgical services depending on clinical needs.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is an accredited National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, we demonstrate the added depth and breadth of research as well as substantial transdisciplinary research that bridges these scientific areas. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. The clinical cancer program is one of the largest clinical services at UCSF Medical Center and encompasses roughly 230 non-physician FTEs, 90+ cost center, and dozens of grant and philanthropic funding sources. At the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center we are truly pioneering care and leaders in all areas of cancer clinical care and research. License/Certification
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.About UCSF
