What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide medical advice and reassurance to parents calling during off-shift hours
- Collaborate with medical assistants and other advanced practice clinicians in a call center setting
- Triage calls ranging from routine to emergent situations
- Write prescriptions and interact with on-call MD as needed
- Access and utilize patient information via the fully-integrated EMR system, Epic
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required
- Graduation from a master’s level state program and NLN approved NP program
- State licensure to practice in the expanded role for Nurse Practitioners
- National certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts
- Eligibility for DEA and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ambulatory experience preferred
- Strong triaging skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Proficient writing skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and EPIC
