We have a vacancy for a Band 6 Nurse Practitioner to join our enthusiastic team in ENT/Ophthalmology Outpatients. We cover multiple sites throughout the Bradford District.
The department is multi-specialty and covers Ear, Nose and Throat as well as Ophthalmology. The Nurse Practitioner role will involve specialist interventions such as micro suction, Mastoids, Botox and Intravitreal Injections. Full training will be provided and competency in each skill assessed.
The department is supported by specialised clinicians who support the nursing staff in their roles and responsibilities. The department promotes progression and learning.
Main duties of the job
The main duties will be to take charge as a team leader around each specialty and to escalate any issues/concerns to the sister team. The Nurse Practitioner will be in charge of ensuring the smooth running of their clinical activity in their area and moving staff allocated to meet demand.
The Nurse Practitioner will be expected to undertake extensive training to gain competencies in a range of extended skills such as Mastoids, Botox and Intravitreal Injections. A full training package will be provided.
