SummaryMyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the established Trauma and General Surgery Team in Midland, Michigan!
-Full time, day shift
-Rotating shift, comprised of 12-hour shifts and 8-hour shifts
-7 days a week coverage, distributed amongst APPs within the group
-100% inpatient (no clinic responsibilities)
Responsibilities-Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team, as well as interpretation/treatment of testing and daily rounding
-First call for ER consults, activations and nursing questions
-Bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, laceration repair
-Variety of patient care, including ICU management, step down and general floor level patients
Certifications and Licensures-AHA approved BLS Certification
-AHA approved ACLS Certification
-ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation
Required Education-Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
-One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered
