Job Description
- Req#: 1108845
- Provide leadership to the Transit Lounge within the Integrated Operations Centre at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
- Ensure the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework, by coordinating the clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions within the Transit Lounge.
- Lead and manage the coordination of overall patient care and is responsible for managing the allocated human, material, and financial resources for service delivery within the Transit Lounge.

- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
- Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications
- Conviction checks in the following areas:
- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
- Identification check

The team:
The IOC at RHH has integrated services to work together and provide excellence in health care to ensure a smooth patient journey across the care continuum. Connecting our patients to the right level of care is our priority, including transfers into our health service via our emergency department, the helipad, or by direct admission and out through our transit lounge service to either home, Hospital in the Home or community-based support. We work collectively across our health system with both public and private sector health care services.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
Salary: $111,784 - $118,064 + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
