Job Description

- To provide a fun enabling environment for children to learn and thrive.
- To act as a key worker to named children, carrying out observations/developmental reports for each child and liaising with parents regularly.
- Working inpartnership with the team and with parents to act as a positive and professional role model to colleagues and children.

- Level 3 Childcare & Education qualification e.g., NVQ 3, BTEC etc equivalent childcare courses (i.e., must meet the early years educator criteria and be approved by Ofsted)
- Relevant level 2 qualification in Numeracy (if level 3 post 2014)
- Relevant level 2 qualification in Literacy (if level 3 post 2014)
- Paediatric First Aid
- Significant experience of working in a nursery setting, with children aged 3 months - 5 years
- Demonstrable experience of contributing to daily planning
- Experience of working in other childcare settings
- Good all round knowledge of child development and childcare practices for children aged 0-5 years. Good Knowledge of EYFS
- Awareness of childrens' needs
- Awareness of the Health & Safety of childrens' environment
- Good Communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work within a team and under own initiative
- Ability to meet the needs of the service within a team environment

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a fun, passionate and qualified childcare professional, minimum level 3 in childcare and education, who will enjoy working within a dedicated, established team who are committed to providing an excellent quality of provision.

You will need to have a minimum Childcare Level 3 qualification and experience of a Nursery Nurse role in a busy nursery environment covering the age range 3 months - 5 years, together with excellent knowledge of the child development and current practices.
This role will involve working varying shifts between the hours of Monday and Friday from 7.00am - 7.00 so some flexibility is required.
