What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate alleged nurse practice and non-nurse practice violations of the Nurse Practice Act
- Collect evidence and analyze medical records, legal documents, and other relevant materials
- Prepare investigative reports and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions to the Board
- Present cases at Board meetings and testify in administrative hearings as an official witness
- Track and monitor open cases to ensure accurate status and timely resolution of complaints
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse through the Arizona State Board of Nursing
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Analytical abilities and skills in conducting investigations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of nursing practice, terminology, and the Nurse Practice Act
- Skills in extracting and utilizing information from legal documents and evaluation forms
- Experience in interviewing and interpersonal relations with various stakeholders
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Google applications
