      Nursing Home A/R Coordinator - Patient Financial Services

      Description:

      Maintaining and controlling activities within the Nursing Home billing work unit

      Manages, plans and controls the workflow of the Nursing Home A/R Coordinator responsibilities to ensure the completion of work assigned

      Responsible for Month End Processing/Posting of Receipts and G/L Reconciliation

      Maintain Charge Inventory in each Nursing Facility and the RUG II rate and Medicare rates in the system

      Submission of Medicare and Medicaid Claims

      Review files and ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation

      Receive and answer inquiries from insurance companies

      Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident family members, visitors, government agency personnel and the general public

      Education/Experience:

      High School graduate or GED

      Minimum of two years experience in a position that requires application and understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and use of automated systems, preferably in a Medical Office Setting

      CPAR designation required

      Two years of experience in insurance processing or equivalent work experience preferred

      Previous experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing preferred
