      A Brief Overview
      The Instructional Designer & Technologist designs, develops and deploys blended learning and performance support solutions. This individual is accountable for all phases of the ADDIE model and works directly with subject matter experts, stakeholders and a team of educators to serve a primarily clinical audience. In addition, this role will make recommendations on trends and advances within the learning and development field, incorporate into program design, and educate other educators on new technologies.

      What you will do

      • 1. Blended Learning and Performance Support
      • a. Design, develop and deploy blended learning and performance support, including: classroom, eLearning, micro learning and mobile.
      • b. Audio and video production and postproduction.
      • c. Graphic design.
      • d. Make recommendations on trends and advances within the learning and development field; incorporate into program design; educate other team members.
      • 2. Communication
      • a. Collaborate with Nursing Education staff to understand the outcomes of the education need and consult on instructional design methods to meet these needs.
      • b. Collaborate with Learning Services staff to test design features and assure that deadlines are being upheld.
      • c. Collaborate with Office Administrators to assure that design solutions are accessible and available to staff.
      • 3. Program Evaluation and Analysis
      • a. In collaboration with Education Nurse Specialist, create, manage, and maintain learning metrics aimed at measuring business impact.
      • 4. Administration
      • a. Contribute directly to project design and development.
      • b. Provide quality assurance of all learning deliverables.
      • c. Develop and communicate industry-leading instructional design concepts.
      • d. Develop, implement, and monitor systems and processes for the team.
      • e. Project manager for learning projects.
      • f. Manage vendor relationships, when applicable.

      Education Qualifications

      • Bachelor's Degree education, health, communications, or other related field Required
      • Master's Degree Instructional Design Preferred

      Experience Qualifications

      • At least five (5) years hand-on experience designing, developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating blended learning. Required

      Skills and Abilities

      • Knowledge of all of the latest design tools and versions of applicable software programs including Adobe Creative Suite, including illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, etc.
      • Audio and video production and post-production using tools such as: Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.
      • Experience developing eLearning using development tools, such as Articulate, Storyline, and Captivate.
      • Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and functionality as applied to effective, innovative user-centered visual design
      • Working knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript
      • Digital Asset Management
      • Working knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript (Preferred proficiency)
