- You will serve as a role model and function as a clinical resource for staff.
- You will supervise and facilitate the development of staff and oversee the day-to-day tasks/activities in the department.
- You will ensure staff are competent in the use of InterQual to progress the plan of care.
- You will work collaboratively and maintain active communication with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to effect timely, appropriate patient management.
- You will monitor the quality of CM interactions with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team by regularly shadowing staff to ensure clear understanding and adherence to department processes.
- You will monitor the quality of documentation and assessments by regularly auditing the case managers’ documentation.
- Must Have Recent Case Management Experience Within the Acute Care Setting
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Min 3+ years’ experience in clinical nursing case mgt. required
- InterQual experience preferred
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Certification in Case Management preferred
- Certification in InterQual or IQCI preferred

It proudly holds the distinction of being both a Primary Stroke Center and a Certified Chest Pain Center.
Job Summary:
The Manager for Case Management Services reports to the Case Management Director and is responsible for promoting patient-centered care by coordinating all aspects of hospital-based case management for his/her assigned area of responsibility in alignment with the goals of the Case Management Department. The Manager for Case Management is accountable for the overall day-to-day oversight and management of the case management program including coordination, supervision, and administrative oversight of the case management team. The Manager for Case Management functions as an expert clinical practitioner, case management subject-matter expert, resource, advisor, and leader for the members of the case management team. The Manager for Case Management supervises and monitors professional and support staff and ensures that effective care coordination and case management practices are consistent with hospital policies, and applicable regulations and guidelines.
