      The Nursing Resource Coordinator supports the nursing department to provide high quality, safe, nursing care. Under the supervision of the Director of Patient care services they oversee nursing activities, including but not limited to staffing, patient through put, collaboration with other departments, staff development, and quality assurance and performance improvement. In the absence of the Hospital Administrator and/or designee, the Nursing resource coordinator has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Hospital Executive Leadership.

      The ideal candidate will possess the following:

      1. Current, active California RN licensure. BSN preferred.
      2. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
      3. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
      4. Specialty certification in area of practice within one (1) year of hire preferred.
      5. At least two (2) years critical care nursing required.
      6. At least two (2) years of acute care leadership or staff development preferred
      7. Computer literacy and experience with electronic medical records.
      8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      9. Experience in Code Blue and Rapid Response team leading.
      10. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
      11. Ability to deescalate situations as they arise.
      12. Ability to adhere to the chain of command.
