    • High School diploma or Equivalent
    • Associate Degree in related field Preferred
    • Two years secretarial and/or clerical experience preferred. Additional related experience may substitute Formal Education as deemed appropriate
    • Criminal background clearance required
    • Knowledge of office methods, practices, and procedures
    • Two-years’ experience in clerical work requiring contact with the public preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of secretarial and office practices, procedures and equipment
    • Basic understanding of general accepted accounting procedures, preferred.
    • Knowledge of computer applications, including basic Word, Excel or Google Forms. Experience with basic accounting and bookkeeping software systems as well as Student POS systems preferred.
    • Knowledge of basic cash handling skills including safety and security, internal controls such as dual counting of deposits and security of cash, checks and purchase orders
    • Ability to multi-task and work in an atmosphere that is busy, often noisy with many interruptions throughout the work day
    • Ability to prepare and maintain complete and accurate records and reports, to include inventory and attendance reports
    • Ability to become familiar with and apply school rules and regulations
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely and efficient manner. As well as to solve problems, make independent decisions and comply with strict deadlines
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
    • Ability to communicate effectively, including writing correspondence and reports, and speaking to groups
    • Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees, staff, students, and the general public.
    • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with limited supervision.

      7 hours a day, 210 days per year

      Primary Purpose:

      Performs a variety of complex secretarial and specialized clerical duties requiring detailed knowledge and understanding of departmental and District functions, policies, and procedures, as well as Federal & State program requirements. Provides secretarial support and assistance to the food service supervisor and kitchen staff.

      Qualifications/Requirements:
      Education and experience:

      Salary/Benefits: Range: $20.79 - $26.32
      (placement on the salary range is based on years of experience)
      District pays PERS contribution. Excellent benefit package.
