      Sustainability Analyst

      Reports to

      Senior Strategy and Insights Manager

      Overview

      The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation of Nuuly’s sustainability roadmap. This person will work cross-functionally with Nuuly’s Buying, Planning, Analytics, and Marketing/Creative teams as well as the wider URBN CSR Working Group set up processes, oversee the development of tools and resources, and support the company’s impact goals. Candidate must be strategic, collaborative, organized and analytical with demonstrated success working in an integrated cross-functional team environment.

      This role will report to the Senior Strategy & Insights Manager.

      Responsibilities

      ● Manage the day to day activities for several workstreams on Nuuly’s sustainability roadmap and own communication with cross-functional partners

      ● Manage and optimize process to identify and classify sustainable products across categories in coordination with Nuuly’s buyers, URBN brand partners, and market vendors

      ● Work with analytics, tech, and planning teams to update data collection and reporting on garment durability

      ● Stay current on emerging industry standards, processes, and initiatives and communicate updates to internal stakeholders and leadership

      ● Create tools and resources to educate internal teams and support integration of company-wide impact goals into their workstreams

      ● Support in tracking progress of sustainability workstreams in preparation for annual reports and executive/board meetings

      Qualifications

      ● Bachelor’s degree in Textile/Apparel Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field

      ● Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on apparel/textile industry environmental and sustainability efforts. Previous corporate strategy or management consulting experience a plus

      Job Skills

      ● Highly passionate about the sustainability space and driving positive change

      ● Strong analytical skills and experience manipulating data

      ● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

      ● Solid understanding of the apparel and textile industry and experience with sustainability certifications (incl GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BCI, etc) is a plus

      ● Ability to build relationships and work with a variety of cross-functional partners at all levels and across multiple teams

      ● Strong organization skills inclusive of building timelines and able to work on a variety of projects at one time in a fast-paced environment

      ● Results-driven, solution-oriented, flexible, self-driving, and must have the ability to change course quickly

      ● Confidence to enforce deadlines in a tactful manner across multiple departments

      ● Knack for creating structure to ambiguity
