      Things You Will Do

      As an OB/GYN Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you’ll play a critical role in providing specialized women’s healthcare. Your responsibilities will include:

      • Conducting comprehensive women’s health exams, including preventive screenings and gynecological care.

      • Managing urgent and emergent OB/GYN health needs, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.

      • Providing contraceptive counseling, fertility assessments, and pregnancy care.

      • Treating and managing common and complex OB/GYN conditions within your scope of practice.

      • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, ultrasounds, and lab work to support patient care.

      • Educating patients on family planning, prenatal care, postpartum health, and general wellness.

      • Maintaining accurate and compliant medical documentation while upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.

      • Collaborating with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

      • Staying up to date with advancements and best practices in OB/GYN medicine.

      Qualifications

      • Master’s degree from an accredited OB/GYN or women’s health nurse practitioner program OR advanced certification (Certificate of Authority) approved by the USAF Surgeon General.

      • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant school with NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC certification.

      • National Certification Corporation (NCC) certification for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties.

      • Active, unrestricted NP/PA license, free of pending adverse actions, and ability to be favorably credentialed.

      • Minimum of 24 months of clinical practice experience in the past 36 months.

      • At least 2 years of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

      • Current certifications in:

        • Basic Life Support (BLS)

        • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

        • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) (required before deployment)

      • Strong knowledge of professional care theories, principles, and procedures in women’s health and OB/GYN care.

      • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is a plus.

      Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

      • Work is primarily performed in clinical and OB/GYN care settings.

      • Ability to stand for prolonged periods during patient care.

      • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity OB/GYN healthcare environments.
