      The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) invites you to apply today to be considered for a position that provides customer service to the citizens of Maryland every day. The MTA is one of the largest transit systems in the United States and is seeking dynamic and
      energetic individuals to join the MTA team.

      This is an MTA position specific recruitment for a generic job classification. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used under TSHRS to fill this MTA position or function only.       The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of OCC Transportation Analyst. The OCC Analyst will perform a variety of professional duties in support of the OCC and the operation of the Bus fixed route, Metro, and Light Rail public transit systems. The incumbent will utilize several programs, to provide Federal, State, and Local reporting and compliance data. The Analyst will analyze operational data to monitor the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of transit services and consider related data. They are expected to coordinate with OCC staff and other MTA entities regarding implications of the related data.

      Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
      Experience: Four years of experience in administrative or professional work. * Two years of the required experience must have involved the use of transit software such as Trapeze, and other performance management databases like power BI, or any other transit software for data collection.

      1. Additional experience in administrative or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

      2. Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-to-year basis for the required general experience.

      3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.Applicants must possess a Driver's License valid in the State of Maryland.
