Job summary
We are looking to employ an enthusiasticpart-time Occupational Therapistto join our therapy team on a fast-paced, 10-bed adult acute ward.
Preferred working days: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve completing assessments, developing and implementing person-centered treatment plans, facilitating group and 1:1 work, facilitating graded exposure, educating on coping strategies, completing community signposting and contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings. You will be working alongside an occupational therapy assistant and may be required to provide supervision to occupational therapy staff.
Although you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of nurses, healthcare assistants, psychiatrists and a specialty doctor, a large part of the role will also involve autonomous working. You will be expected to apply your occupational therapy skills, complete thorough risk assessments and use evidence-practice to guide your therapeutic interventions.

Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group. It has 77 beds over seven wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acquired Brain Injury, Huntingtons and Dementia, along with a growing outpatient therapy service.
