      Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy at Inpatient Rehab Service. Lead and supervise OT staff, supporting hospital-wide service delivery.

      Remuneration: $108,595 – $112,114 per annum
      Hours Per Week: 38

      What you'll be doing
      In this role you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients at Auburn Hospital within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Service. Your role will also include:

      • Providing clinical leadership and supervision for the Occupational Therapy staff delegated by the Occupational Therapy Head of Department.
      • Assisting with the provision of Occupational Therapy services to other areas of the hospital, including both inpatient and outpatient services.

      Essential Criteria:

      • Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
      • Registration: Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.

      Selection Criteria:

      1. Extensive broad range of clinical experience with post graduate specialised experience in medical, neurological and/or aged care rehabilitation, including experience in discharge planning, home assessment, home modifications and equipment prescription.
      2. Demonstrated experience in supervision and training of Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and/or Occupational Therapy Students.
      3. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated highly developed skills in time management, high-volume caseload management and prioritisation of patients in a rehabilitation inpatient setting.
      4. Demonstrated understanding of service coordination, evaluation, planning and development and/or experience in leading quality improvement projects.
      5. Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor the work health and safety requirements in a rehabilitation inpatient hospital setting.
      6. Ability to work autonomously with minimum direct supervision and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
      7. Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
