Overview
The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services by evaluating patients, establishing and implementing effective treatment plans with functional treatment goals, providing patient education and exercise/activity programs, constructing appropriate orthotic devices and educating in use of adaptive equipment. Position is responsible for observing, evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions and modifying the treatment plan accordingly and provides age specific direct patient care according to the department's scope of service. The Option 4 Occupational Therapist will work in all of the following settings of care: Acute Rehab Services (Raleigh/Cary), Rehab Hospital and Outpatient Rehab. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues, as well as post-surgical orthopedics, cardiac, multi-trauma and debility for both adult and pediatric populations. This position is in the Therapy Services Supplemental Pool and has minimum shift availability requirements per calendar year.
