Job Description
- Req#: 4626144
- Assist residents and businesses with maintenance requests and issues.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails.
- Provide updates to the public on the status of maintenance requests and project progress.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, work orders and maintenance requests.
- Prepare correspondence and memos.
- Schedule meetings and appointments for the maintenance team.
- Perform general data entry to maintain maintenance records and databases.
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Copy, scan, and file a variety of materials.
- Perform general office tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.
- Two years of experience working in an office environment.
- A high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience working in a Public Works Maintenance Division is highly desirable.
- Supplemental Questionnaire (Pass/Fail) - Tentatively s c heduled to be sent on September 16.
- Oral Interview (Weighted 100%) - Tentatively s c heduled for the week of October 14.
The City of Cypress is looking for a self-motivated professional to join its team as an Office Assistant I/II. This position is full-time and is assigned to the Public Works Maintenance Yard.
