- Serves as Cook County Master File System Clerical Associate.
- Establishes, maintains, and copies investigative files.
- Retrieves CANTS/CYCIS data from DCFS and Department of Healthcare and Family Services systems.
- Answers incoming phone calls and greets visitors, including officials and representatives of the press.
- Compiles information necessary to prepare travel vouchers, billing statements, and other payment keyboard documents from handwritten materials.
- Receives, sorts, opens, and distributes incoming mail to staff.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school
- Requires 2 years of office experience
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm
- Requires ability to pass a background check

Job Responsibilities
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Cook County Master System Clerical Associate. Under direction, this position will perform complex clerical services for the unit. The position establishes, maintains, and copies investigative files and retrieves data from appropriate information systems. This position also answers calls, greets visitors, and performs timekeeping functions. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department's operation.
