Job Description
- Req#: 30739
- Receives, reviews and evaluates a variety of licensing applications/supporting documents and/or correspondence for accuracy and clarity
- Verifies the inflow of cash received for all professions licensed by the Department for renewal, new applications, certifications, changes of name, address, status, and miscellaneous in order to ensure all monies are accounted for and validated correctly
- Independently researches and analyzes records, computer data, microfilm data, microfiche, micro image terminal, hard copy of application, consulting with various Department staff in order to respond to requests for certification/verification for all licensure professions
- Verifies changes from renewal documents and inter-office forms for all professions licensed by the Department
- Receives and participates in cross-training to assure continuity in the licensing process
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school
- Requires two years of office experience
- Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at a rate of 45 words per minute
- Prefers at least five years of experience working in a professional office environment
- Prefers at least three years of experience working in an office clerical role, such as Office Clerk, Office Associate, Office Assistant, Office Aide, or similar
- Prefers at least two years of experience conducting customer service via phone, email, or in person
- Requires the ability to operate a personal computer
- Requires the ability to pass an Agency conducted background check
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school
- Requires two years of office experience

Position Overview
Under direction, independently performs a wide variety of complex clerical duties in the Licensure Administration/Maintenance Unit understanding specialized legal and industry terms. Receives, reviews and evaluates a variety of licensing applications/supporting documents and/or correspondence for accuracy and clarity. Types, keys or scans data from these documents in the department computer system. Independently researches and analyzes records, computer data, microfilm data, microfiche, micro image terminal, hard copy of application, consulting with various Department staff in order to respond to requests for certification/verification for all licensure professions. Verifies the inflow of cash received for all professions licensed by the Department in order to ensure all monies are accounted for and validated correctly.
