      Position Overview:

      The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Child Support Services (CSS) - Administrative Operations is seeking to hire a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our Administrative Coordination Unit (ACU) in the role of Office Associate . This position performs a variety of complex, specialized, clerical, and general office support functions, develops correspondence and drafts letters, memoranda, legal documents, charts, and statistical reports, provides clerical support for staff, serves as back-up receptionist.

      The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills to be successful in performing the operations of the Administrative Coordination Unit (ACU) .

      Essential Functions

      • Under direction, performs a variety of complex, specialized, clerical, and general office support functions
      • Coordinates the information gathering process used to process account adjustments
      • Enters case data on personal computers for case tracking and aging reports
      • Provides clerical support for staff
      • Makes routine case inquiries on the statewide database systems
      • Establishes and updates tracking procedures to monitor status of notices of delinquency, income withholding, and other work in progress
      • Serves as back-up receptionist
      • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience
      • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute

      Conditions of Employment

      • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history
      • Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
