- Manage email communications and serve as the main contact for the phone line
- Oversee volunteer management, responding to emails and connecting with volunteers
- Create or supervise the creation of social media posts
- Schedule volunteers and leaders for support groups, Family-to-Family programs, and other events
- Coordinate program logistics, including event management
- Manage event logistics, including ordering supplies
- Prepare materials for programs and events
- Coordinate volunteers for tabling events
- Maintain inventory of materials and replenish as needed
- Collect receipts and maintain accounts of spending
- Distribute monthly newsletter to membership and volunteer base
- Develop and maintain relationships with area mental/behavioral health agencies and other support organizations
- Oversee trail maintenance, including supervision and monthly payments
- Manage regular payments for phone, insurance, rent, and other expenses
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in social media management and email communication
- Experience in volunteer coordination and event management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Familiarity with basic accounting and inventory management
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Experience with newsletter creation and distribution
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Passion for mental health advocacy and community support
- Previous experience in a non-profit organization
- Knowledge of mental health resources and support services
- Experience with CRM software and database management
- Familiarity with Quickbooks
Summary:
Office manager/administrative associate needed for an Athens area not-for-profit with a focus on mental health services for families. Will support our mission of providing free education, advocacy, and support for individuals living with mental illness and their families. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing office operations, coordinating communications, and supporting various programs events.
