      The State University of New York College of Optometry is seeking an administrator for the Management Services Department, which includes Physical Plant, Maintenance, and University Police. This position is a UUP professional position that reports to the Assistant Vice president for Facilities & Operations.
      Duties will include, but are not limited to: serve as department liaison with the College Community; provide administrative support to the Assistant Vice President and the Department’s management team; oversee all office management on a day-to-day basis, including review of time records; prepare reports and maintain departmental files and records; distribute and track daily maintenance and engineering work orders using the work order management system; supervise the Mail and Supply Department staff as well as the Department’s Administrative Assistant; responsible for department purchasing as well as inventory and property control in coordination with the College’s Business Office. Additional duties include coordinating with points of contacts to set up for events, sourcing for equipment, supplies, and vendors.
      Desired experience includes excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a busy office environment. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the use of computer programs. Good customer service experience and interpersonal skills is expected. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Salary in the $60,000 to $65,000 with generous benefit package.
      Hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm, Mondays – Fridays.
