Provide administrative clerical support to both management and employees.
Serve as a central point of contact providing information and direction for compliance regarding applicable laws, rules, regulations, program policies, and procedures for management, staff and central office regarding personnel, payroll, business services, and other district administrative and program services, including volunteer services.
Provide informational services and guidance to the public.
Record, process, maintain and archive confidential and sensitive personnel, payroll, administrative, and program information, files, and other records.
Review documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Provide support to the District’s Administrative Office, Child Welfare Programs, Self Sufficiency Programs, and other program services including Volunteer Services.
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record or acceptable method of transportation are required for this position. AND
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with effective data tracking including setting up and managing data entry processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Demonstrated experience quickly adjusting to changing priorities and new tasks. Successfully managing multiple, shifting assignments by employing a proactive approach to workload management and prioritization.
Demonstrated organizational skills and time management.
Experience with administrative support for multiple managers, including task coordination and support functions.
Experience demonstrating a high level of integrity in managing confidential and proprietary data. Including experience operating with transparency and honesty, adhering to ethical and organizational policies in all aspects of work.
Strong experience demonstrating attention to detail. Consistently delivering high-quality work, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Understanding and knowledge of diversity awareness (understanding diverse backgrounds and promoting diversity), cultural competence (respect for different cultures and effective cross-cultural communication), and inclusivity practices (inclusive policies & practices and addressing bias & discrimination).
This position works in an office setting.
This position works with fluctuating workloads, priorities, and deadlines, working with complex, sensitive, and/or political issues both in a team-oriented and individual-tasked settings.
You will occasionally have contact with angry or confused customers, or encounter customers going through financial or emotional stress.
Daily work involves extensive use of computers, telephones, and multifunction machines, working with staff, community partners, ODHS volunteers, and the public through email, telephone, online platforms, and occasionally in-person.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.
