Job Description

Provide clerical support to child welfare caseworkers and unit supervisors.
Serve as a receptionist at the front desk of the child welfare office – checking people in, providing customer service, answering the phone.
Ensure the timely production of all payments and policy and procedural requirements.
Review forms and letters for accuracy.
Process all paperwork, guaranteeing documentation of responsible services to clients and consumers.
Perform a wide variety of administrative, general office and record processing tasks.
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience defining and explaining rules, regulations, and procedures for programs and services.
Experience navigating technology and different computer software programs (i.e. Microsoft Office).
Experience providing customer service to diverse groups of people.
Experience using attention to detail to create and review documents.
Experience conducting work with cultural humility and responsiveness.
Experience working both independently and with a team to reach a common goal.
Experience adapting with ease to changing environments and priorities.
Your work will take place in the Clackamas or Oregon City ODHS office.
Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).
You will have frequent travel between the Clackamas and Oregon City ODHS offices to provide coverage.
You will interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma and may exhibit challenges in controlling their emotions.

Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based criminal records check.
The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security’s I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States. ODHS will use E-Verify to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.
