Ensure Weir Group’s SHE Charter is fully respected via full implementation of internal protocols and procedures
Manage and maintain SHE management systems and provide support to Operations and Field Services to ensure compliance to full Legal, ISO, Customer and Weir Group Standard requirements.
Support SHE core functions such audits, risk assessment, incident investigations, sustainability and health and wellness
Support the site and Region in the implementation of key SHE initiatives and programmes
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
Relevant Qualification: National Safety Diploma /Environmental Health /NEBOSH/ COMSOC
Min 5 years’ SHE related experience in mining / field services environment
Valid driver’s license
ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Occupational Health and Safety and Mine Health and Safety Act
Internal auditors, HIRA, Root Cause Analysis, ITIS Train the Trainer courses is advantageous.
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule and travel.
Field services/ Office, noise, and dust; indoor/outdoor in all types of weather
Physical demands: Requires mobility within a manufacturing environment with the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, walk, and climb as needed; requires good-corrected vision
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements: Minimum of a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety boots; additional PPE is required for certain areas and activities in the plant
