Job Description
- Req#: R3731202
- Guarantee the fulfilment of EHS rules on site.
- Execute the tasks agreed upon with the Commissioning Team Leader and Commissioning Shift Leader.
- Be able to create or revise the procedures for commissioning.
- Provide technical support, advice, and instructions to other commissioning technicians and contractors.
- Report technical deviations.
- Organisation of spare parts, equipment, and tooling for the jobs.
- Provide regular reports on commissioning status.
- Survey the commissioning work performed by the subcontractor, so it will be necessary to know the steps to be followed at each test.
- Inform all site personnel of any site hazards brought about as a direct result of commissioning actions, together with associated precautions.
- Execute commissioning tasks in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the contract, budget, and time schedule.
- Follow the handover between installation and commissioning phases, turbine inspections, preservations, preassembly, and punch list check-ups.
- Encourage the involvement and participation of members in their area of responsibility, in making suggestions for improvements to avoid accidents.
- Technical degree education or minimum NVQ level 3 in an electrical discipline and experience required in the electrical field
- Minimum of 2 years of commissioning wind turbine experience
- Knowledge of wind turbine systems such as the Pitch system, Yaw system, Generator Converter system, PLCs, Hydraulic systems, and Cooling systems
- Electrical knowledge and be able to draw schematics
- Proven experience in Wind Turbine Safety Rules and their application.
- Proven experience in reporting and documentation management
- Ability to prepare and follow checklists for tests and documentation, as well as test plans
- Ability to secure quality assurance and environmental processes
- Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, construction, and commissioning in the wind industry and offshore industry
- Ability to design and apply solutions for the NCR’s containment actions and propose solutions
- PC knowledge of Microsoft applications as well as industrial and management software
- Ability to work offshore (Offshore medical certificate, Sea Survival, and wind turbine full rescue course provided by GE)
- Prepared to carry out work in a confined space
- Proven ability to lead and work in a team and contractor environment
- Offshore Wind experience
- English language
- Willing to travel
- Able to manage physical jobs (climbing, crawling, squatting, etc.)
- Able to work at heights, Helicopter transfers, and vessel transfers
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised as well as in a team environment
