Location: Offshore / Hull
- Works collaboratively as part of a small team, reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor.
- Diligently monitors, analyses, and responds to alarms on the DCS & F&G/ESD control systems, ensuring that the plant is operated in a safe and efficient manner complying with defined limits and Centrica procedures.
- Monitors, controls, and adjusts hydrocarbon flows and plant conditions; reports malfunctions promptly and with appropriate technical detail; makes recommendations on and/or carries out necessary authorised adjustments.
- Prepares plant and equipment for maintenance work, undertakes plant reinstatement activities. Verifies correctness of such activities.
- Liaises with internal stakeholders to ensure that overall field and plant performance is optimised to nominated commercial requirements.
- Carries out site verification safety checks and atmosphere testing for prior to commencing maintenance work.
- Assists in the shutdown and start-up of plant and equipment.
- Safely recover plant from shut down situations to minimise production losses.
- Carries out process stream sampling, chemical analysis, plant inspections, isolations, gas tests, chemical injections.
- Ensures all production reporting requirements are completed compliantly and with appropriate technical detail.
- Prepares materials for and delivers detailed written and verbal shift handovers using appropriate logs, data, and procedures.
- Specialist operations or engineering knowledge of offshore gas production facilities, or comparable process, industrial, or marine equipment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) in relation to maintenance work planning, and materials management (CSL use SAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with the MS office suite of applications
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize own workload in the face of competing demands
- Ability to thrive within a highly regulated, structured environment.
- High levels of internal resilience, self-drive, and motivation
- Strong personal organisational, collaborative, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with own team and interface with all levels of the organisation.
- Must be comfortable with frequent/regular offshore travel, inside and outside work, physically demanding, working at height.
- HNC or equivalent in Operations, an engineering discipline, a safety qualification, or demonstrable competence through equivalent industrial experience.
- Previous operations experience within the Oil / Gas / Petrochemical industry or comparable high-hazard environment considered.

CES have some exciting new positions for Offshore Operations Technician's to join the team. You will be operating a wide range of offshore process and utilities equipment and systems working safely and in strict compliance with Centrica business and regulatory requirements. Equipment covered includes gas production / injection systems, condensate and water separation systems, wells, power generation, platform utilities, monitoring and control systems.
