Job Description

- Guided tour of the Wind Technology Testing Center
- Guided tour of the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal
- Other industry related events including public meetings, working group meetings, etc.
- Support Program planning, organization, reporting and website updates
- Support and assist with management of the Massachusetts Offshore Wind Supply Chain Directory, including reviewing and approving company profiles, managing communications and relationships with the software vendor, and conducting outreach to new companies to encourage sign-up in the directory
- Collaborate with the team to draft and format content for MassCEC’s quarterly Offshore Wind Newsletter, social media accounts, blog, and other webpages
- Assist with grant and contract management, through contract drafting, work in MassCEC’s grant management software, documenting and reviewing deliverables, and processing invoices.
- Review and evaluate proposals to competitive solicitations issued by MassCEC.
- Support planning and execution of internal and external meetings and workshops (virtual and/or in-person)
- Attend and represent MassCEC at stakeholder meetings
- Assist with coordinating and managing MassCEC’s Offshore Wind Workforce Community of Practice
- Background research, industry tracking, and other duties and tasks that may arise
- The candidate will be enrolled in a college undergraduate program as a sophomore, junior, senior, or higher, preferably majoring in science, engineering, environmental studies, business administration, public policy, or marine affairs.

Position Overview
The Offshore Wind fellow will support MassCEC’s Offshore Wind Program, which advances the responsible development of offshore wind energy to help the Commonwealth meet its climate, clean energy, and economic development goals. Program activities include convening stakeholders, sponsoring technical and environmental studies and data collection through hiring and management of consultants, supporting workforce development initiatives through grants and technical assistance, identifying supply chain opportunities through grants and direct engagement with companies, advancing offshore wind research through grants and participation in the National Offshore Wind R&D Consortium, and collaboration and coordination with other states on specific initiatives. The Program focuses on projects to expand the participation of Massachusetts companies, facilities, institutions, and workforce in the offshore wind supply chain.

Supervision
The fellow will work under the supervision of the managers of the Offshore Wind program.
Salary
The fellow will earn $18 per hour and be eligible to work for 35 hours per week.
