Develop, oversee, and manage high-profile sections of our digital portfolio, including the profiles of our people on the website
Manage digital content across thought leadership, industry pages, case studies, and inclusion and diversity stories, developing compelling narratives and copy blocks adapted for digitally savvy audiences for webpages, external publications, emails, social media, and PR channels
Write, copy-edit, review, and approve content, approaching complex ideas by distilling content into clear, concise, and cohesive messaging through creative copy, data visualization, and digital media scripts
Drive best-practice for the execution of editorial and multimedia content across the Marketing team, providing end-to-end guidance in the production process, including archiving of content, ensuring that our web presence remains live and current
Apply appropriate SEO techniques, user experience principles, content taxonomy, meta-data, and visual storytelling; assure quality control and that best practices and editorial guidelines are being understood and applied by all content generators
Maintain metrics to measure the success of our content to help drive commercial outcomes and improve our content effectiveness
Work closely with colleagues across the firm’s technology and design departments to collaborate and confirm we adhere to our brand and content style governance; partner with our digital marketing operations team to establish and refine workflows that assure timely, coordinated, and effective collaboration on all production
Stay current on industry trends and competitor positioning as well as the latest in digital storytelling and editorial production
Bachelor's degree and 5 -10 years’ writing and copyediting experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a journalism, agency, or content marketing role
Superb writing and editing skills
Ability to quickly synthesize multiple inputs and tell a cohesive story in written and digital form
Understanding of website management and experience working with a content management system, ideally in an editorial capacity and using SEO techniques
Excellent editorial judgment, with an eagle eye for details and a proven ability to maintain brand voice, technical accuracy, and factual exactitude
Direct experience with financial services editorial
Communicative and curious person who enjoys working across different cultures
Strong project manager, able to work independently and in teams to create results, comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid, and unstructured environment where priorities often shift
A resourceful self starter who can demonstrate strong initiative, confidence, and the ability to work with little guidance to achieve results
Ability to produce camera-ready copy for Oliver Wyman’s website, related digital channels, and top-tier outside publications

Overview:
We are looking for an ambitious and creative Managing Editor for our Private Capital and Insurance and Asset Management practices to shape how we communicate our work, activities, people, values, and expertise to the outside world.
Your role will be to craft and edit thought-provoking copy for our global web pages and digital channels, to drive brand affinity and audience engagement. One day you might be writing a story to publicize a new private capital deal or describing some interesting asset management data trends; the next you might be shaping a new podcast initiative or drafting a long-tail social media campaign. It’s therefore essential you understand the nuances of tone and voice and that you enjoy working on a broad range of assignments that reflect our brand and who we are.
You will be working closely with colleagues from across marketing, external affairs, design, inclusion and diversity, and related business functions. You will drive best practices, brand voice, and innovation, and communicate the firm’s general and platform-specific brand objectives and standards. You will measure and continuously improve the impact of our content (in all its forms) and inform the publishing strategy and calendar of our website.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, wearing many different hats, such as editor, business partner, content strategist, project manager, and trusted adviser. Deep knowledge of the financial services sector required.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $147,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
