      Position Title:

      Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) – Pulp Mill/Recycle Fibers

      Pay Rate :

      PL12

      Salary Range ($83,900 – $111,800)

      Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. This position is eligible to participate in IP’s salary short-term incentive plan.

      The Job You Will Perform:

      This position reports to the Area Paper Manager – Pulp in Maysville, Kentucky. Maysville is a 1500+ ton per day recycle Containerboard Mill with one (1) high speed paper machine. It currently operates with approximately 130 mill employees and 55 contract maintenance employees in a results-oriented environment.

      Key Functions of OMC Position (include but not limited to):

      • Provides support to the Area Pulp/Recycle Fiber Manager with regards to safety, environment, quality, production, cost and people to exceed targeted goals.
      • Primary focus of this position will be as a key member of a team that is responsible for driving the reliability process on the pulp mill/recycled fiber area on a daily basis and improving the reliability of the mill long term.
      • Improve mill reliability through the disciplined application of the MWS principles with a major focus not only on overall planning and scheduling quality but also the recording of work history. This includes participation in failure analysis events and a drive for results on preventable chronic failures.
      • Champion Manufacturing Work System (MWS) execution, deliberate improvement efforts and standardization.
      • Facilitate MWS meetings and ensure the daily and weekly MWS agenda is strictly followed.
      • Accountable for organization of outage preparation work and facilitation of outage planning
      • Maintain the outage schedule and properly maintain and prioritize area backlogs.
      • Responsible for maintenance of the reliability outage database
      • Ensure maintenance and operating areas are maintained to 5S standards

      The Skills You Will Bring:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5+ years’ experience in the paper industry preferred or equivalent experience.
      • Demonstrated leadership record with a commitment to safety and knowledge of papermaking process as well as reliability process.
      • Must have excellent computer skills and be able to master Microsoft Project, SAP-PM and Excel.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with proven ability to coach, educate and motivate.
      • Strong work ethic and active participation in safety, problem solving and other team activities.
