      Chatters, proudly Canadian owned with over 115 locations and growing, has an immediate opening for a OMNI Category Manager – Promotional Planograms to join our dynamic team.

      Reporting to the Senior Manager, OMNI Merchandising the OMNI Category Manager – Promotional Planograms is responsible for the OMNI assortment planning, planogram curation and implementation for all retail salons in Canada. Responsible for contributing to the overall merchandising of products for stores by creating promotional planograms based on assortment plans, new products and seasonal launches and support strategic marketing initiatives. Maximizes sales opportunities, optimizes assortments, and ensures consistency across OMNI-Channel.

      The successful candidate will also be expected to perform a wide range of tasks such as assortment planning, forecasting, brand exit strategy, reporting, support in building dashboards and post-mortem results and foster strong brand & x-functional partnerships.

      A little about the role:

      • Attend Category Management strategic brand calls to prioritize promotional activations including seasonal assortments and core promotions.
      • Analyze historical sales data to curate promotional activity.
      • Consolidate, review and present promotional planograms to OMNI-Channel leads to ensure strategic alignment.
      • Lead Promotional calendar alignment between Merchandising & Marketing
      • Responsible for leading brand vision and discussions on single-branded planograms.
      • Lead internal x-functional meetings to create and deliver on multi-branded promotional activations.
      • Collaborate with the brands & internal x-functional teams on salon creative & digital assets to deliver a holistic customer experience.
      • Responsible for approving all final assets and creatives for launch with the brands and internal partners including: Marketing; Visual Merchandising; Category Management and Inventory Management team (s).
      • Leading OMNI forecast alignment on all promotional planograms including Holiday; this involves ensuring internal forecast requirements are met and communicated to the brand to ensure we meet launch timelines, as well as negotiating exit strategy on promotional inventory at end of selling period.
      • Lead Digital Flyer content & assortment planning including PK, assets and pricing updates all in collaboration with Category Management, Marketing & Inventory Management team (s).
      • Responsible for Buyers Guide data integrity for promotional activations, including transferring of information through multiple communication tools to x-functional departments.
      • Choose strategic product lists to provide to Marketing Team for exposure on internal assets including signage & digital activations.
      • Complete post-mortem performance assessments of all executed promotional activities to determine impact on the business.

      A little about you:

      • 3-5 years of retail experience preferably with a solid knowledge of merchandising.
      • Experience working with planograms and assortment planning
      • Experience in creating and running sales and inventory reports.
      • Building strong vendor/brand partnerships and fostering a positive team environment a must.
      • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
      • Haircare or Beauty Industry experience preferred a plus with stylist background within the professional salon environment.
      • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
      • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
      • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
