- Develop culturally diverse and sensitive menus in compliance with contract requirements, including menu variety
- Prepare nutritional analysis of menus for nutrition program meals in compliance with contract requirements
- Provide guidance regarding emerging trends and creative solutions to meet the nutritional needs of clients
- Ensure accuracy of menus and nutrition analysis
- Review and revise as needed nutritional information in Galley Solutions food service systems management software program
- Review nutrition education materials and plans.
- Provide nutrition counseling services in compliance to contract requirements
- Other projects as requested
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, food service systems management, and other health-related fields
- Current Registered Dietitian in Oregon and Washington
- Knowledge of geriatrics and assessment of nutritional risk
- Knowledge of Galley Solutions software strongly preferred
- One or more years of dietetic experience, including demonstrated successful experience in diversified menu planning
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent organizational, record keeping, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with diverse populations including minority, low income and persons with disabilities
- Passion for serving seniors in or community

Menu development and analysis are project-based. The majority of work is email and web-based. Occasional travel to Meals on Wheels People locations, including the Central Kitchen, depending on the project. It may be required to move up to 30lbs and occasional reaching, bending, and stooping. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, 10-key, and phone. Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests and criminal background checks.
