- Checking the quality and authenticity of incoming purchase invoices
- Handling of purchase invoices in the SAP system
- Monitoring of the overall invoice flow and the accounts payable ledger
- Supporting purchase invoice approvers with invoice handling and answering incoming questions from our suppliers and internal customers
- Handling of month-end closing related tasks, such as accruals
- Other tasks related to monitoring and quality control
- Currently a full-time student of Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or similar
- Systematic and organized way of working

We are now looking for energetic and committed students to work as an On-Call Trainees (0-25h/week) to strengthen the Accounts Payable team located in Vaasa, Finland, with the possibility to continue as Summer Trainee in 2024. You will be working with Wärtsilä companies around the world and supporting with the handling of purchase invoices and other related tasks.
What you will be doing:
In this position, your work will include handling incoming purchase invoices, solving issues and being in contact with various Wärtsilä teams and suppliers to improve the end-to-end process. On a typical day, you might be starting with responding to emails and ending the day with checking payment proposals. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from the team.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a good understanding of accounting and experience from working in a customer-facing role. For you to succeed in this position, we hope you have a mindset for continuous improvement and are open to learning new skills, such as RPA.
