      As our Onboarding Advisor, you will play a strategic and high-impact role in shaping the new hire experience from post-offer acceptance through the first day. This role involves overseeing complex cases, driving process improvements, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a high-quality candidate experience. The Onboarding Advisor will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovative onboarding practices, and ensure new hires feel connected, informed, and empowered from the very beginning. To thrive in this role, you must emphasize process improvement and continuous enhancement of the new hire journey.

      Here’s what you will experience working as an Onboarding Advisor:

      Relationship/Escalation Management

      • Serve as the R1 Onboarding Advisor, acting as the main point of contact for new hires and providing consistent, proactive updates and support throughout their onboarding journey for most visible business lines.
      • Act as the primary escalation point for complex or non-standard onboarding cases.
      • Provide personalized support through regular touchpoints, including calls, check-ins, and milestone emails.
      • Build trust and excitement by addressing candidate concerns promptly and professionally.

      Experience Ownership

      • Conduit between all the new hire process touchpoints to ensure consist delivery of new hire communications and experience to candidate/new hire, Manager, Recruiter, Pre-Boarding team, and vendors as needed.
      • Proactively monitor onboarding progress (including occupational health and background screening), serving as an escalation point to resolve any complexities that arise.
      • Coordinate start date with new hire and manager once they have cleared all required onboarding requirements.
      • Work cross-functionally internally and externally to ensure a positive pre-hire experience and raise areas of opportunity.

      Problem-Solving and Strategic Oversight

      • Proactively implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
      • Anticipate and address systemic roadblocks in the onboarding process.

      Compliance

      • Facilitate I-9 completion and ensure compliance with all onboarding requirements.

      Process Improvement

      • Gather and document feedback from stakeholders to identify potential process improvements.
      • Work with the preboarding team to enhance the onboarding experience.
      • Regularly review and update onboarding materials, tools, and resources to keep them aligned with the evolving needs of the company and new hires.
      • Stay informed about best practices in onboarding, employee engagement, and candidate experience, incorporating new strategies as appropriate.
      • Lead initiatives to enhance the overall candidate and new hire experience, using data-driven insights to make strategic decisions.
      • Participation in and support of additional projects as needed.

      Required Skills:

      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
      • 4-5 years HR or customer service-related experience
      • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills with a proactive and strategic approach to improving processes.
      • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build strong relationships across departments.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
      • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS (Workday preferred)
      • Strong ability to analyze processes, implement solutions, and influence change.
      For this US-based position, the base pay range is $59,778.93 - $76,402.68 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
