      Overview:

      Oncology Data Specialist II m aintains an efficient cancer database of all the patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer in accordance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for Sentara Cancer Network. Consistently meets productivity goals in regard to abstracting. Responsible for assisting with maintaining annual follow-up of patients accessed to database as well as perform data retrieval to support cancer research, patient care improvement studies and quality assurance for physicians and the Cancer Program. Must be certified by the National Cancer Registrars Association at the time of hire.

      2 years of Database Management

      Sentara CarePlex Hospit a l, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224-bed technologically advanced, acute care facility, and Certified Primary Stroke Center.
