      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Extrapolate detailed cancer data from medical records and complete quality-focused case abstracts with 98% accuracy
      - Meet productivity benchmarks in accordance with regulatory and department requirements
      - Identify and accession reportable cancer and benign CNS tumors diagnosed within the health system
      - Review completed cases annually to assess subsequent cancer treatment
      - Organize and participate in quality assurance reviews of tumor registry work and assigned abstracts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum educational requirement: Associate's degree or 60 hours of college-level coursework in a health-related field
      - Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification to be obtained within 3 years of hire
      - Minimum 1 year of experience in cancer registry or a remote position preferred
      - Strong knowledge of national and specialized cancer coding and classification systems
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office software

      - Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
      - Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
      - Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently
      - Experience with coding and classification systems including STORE, ICD-O, SEER, and AJCC
