This Advocacy and Professional Relations (A&PR) Manager role is a key opportunity for a talented, high-energy individual to support assessment and execution of innovative collaborations with national partners, guided by strategies set by our Advocacy and Professional Relation team, to drive our reputation at the most trusted patient centric oncology company, help put health information at people’s fingertips and elevate the patient voice across our work.
The A&PR Manager is a field-based colleague whose primary function is to liaise with advocacy groups and their constituents on programs, resources, support and services available from Pfizer and/or related to Pfizer Oncology Disease products. Although field-based, the role is a non-sales role that reports directly into the A&PR Team Lead and is part of our Oncology Patient Solutions organization.
Colleagues in this role will play an integral role in helping Pfizer establish leadership within the Oncology Communities (breast cancer, genitourinary cancer and hematologic malignancies, as well as melanoma, gastrointestinal, gynecological and thoracic cancers, which includes lung cancer) in close alignment with A&PR Team and strategic partners. All of this will be executed in close collaboration with legal and compliance colleagues to ensure that these new capabilities and approaches are implemented in a thoughtful manner that meets Pfizer's high standards of conduct.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The A&PR Manager will report into our A&PR Team Lead and will be involved in efforts supporting our A&PR team’s activities across a growing portfolio of business. The A&PR Manager will partner with our A&PR Directors and cross functional partners (i.e., Franchise teams, Corporate Affairs, Pfizer Digital, Specialty Access Solutions, etc.). Roles and responsibilities will shift to address specific business needs and align to strategies set by our A&PR Lead:
· Drive patient understanding of Pfizer Oncology integrated, category leading patient support programs, including but not limited to This is Living with Cancer, Myhealthcarefinances.com, Pfizer Oncology Patient Centricity Ecosystem and approved disease specific collaborations with our national advocacy partners.
· Coordination and implementation of Pfizer Oncology Patient Solutions and Advocacy Programs at the Regional and Local level.
· Coordinate with A&PR Directors to support delivery and comprehensive overview of patient support services and programs to patients and advocacy groups at various Pfizer-Sponsored events (e.g., Booth Exhibits)
· Develop and grow strong working partnerships with advocacy groups to advance the needs of regional/local patients and caregivers
· Upon request, engage in individual patient interactions to enhance understanding of oncology patient solutions and educational resources.
· Manage the customer-facing and internal elements external funding requests in the form of sponsorships and exhibit requests from regional and local advocacy groups, chapters and associations in alignment with the national strategies. Manage the budget for the above opportunities.
· Collaborate with National Oncology A&PR Directors to ensure the integrated patient offerings support intended objectives in the context of the local market dynamics
· Provide local insights to inform Brand Team development of educational materials for patient engagement and patient support services that fill needs within the patient community
· Ensure all aspects of patient and advocacy group engagement interactions are implemented in a thoughtful manner that meets Pfizer's high standards of conduct.
· Plan, coordinate, execute and deliver Programs to the Oncology Advocacy Community, including supporting A&PR National and regional events.
· Support A&PR Directors on pull-through of tangible benefits – including supporting administrative management of FRF entry, agreement tracking, event tracking and resource tracking.
· Support operational delivery of co-created content resulting from approved collaborations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 7 years of US pharmaceutical industry experience and/or advocacy experience
· BA/BS - degree required
· High learning agility, strong planning and organization skills with the ability to move fast in response to what is happening in the external marketplace.
· Ability to quickly identify insights and support the brand in development of patient strategies and pull-through.
· Ability to execute in a matrixed environment working effectively with cross functional teams.
· Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in both 1:1 environments and larger group settings to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership.
· Strong project management experience
· Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 7 years of US pharmaceutical industry and/or oncology advocacy experience preferred
· Strong business acumen coupled with analytical skills preferred.

· 50% Travel Required
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $131,200.00 to $218,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
