- Req#: 282008
- Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding.
- Deliver medications to appropriate storage locations accurately and timely.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate inventory of medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training.
- Communicate with other caregivers and patients in an effective and positive manner. This includes participating in team huddles and assisting with caregiver and student training.
- Use information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks.
- High school diploma or GED
- CPhT through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required within 18 months
- Licensed in Florida as a registered pharmacy technician.
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is preferred at time of hire.
- 6 months of hospital experience
- Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, walking, reaching, stretching and sitting for prolonged periods; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing, and compounding.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support pharmacists in providing pharmacy services while preparing sterile compounds for the oncology department, controlling inventory, ordering supplies and medications, and adhering to organizational guidelines.
Caregivers in this role will work days from 8:00am to 4:30pm, which may vary an hour or 2. This is a floating position, and caregivers will be expected to float between all 5 Florida Hospitals with a majority occurring at our West Palm Beach facility.
