- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician upon hire. Or
- Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- Minimum of 3 years (> 6240 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system or sterile compounding experience and PTCB certification - OR - 4 years (> 8320 hours) experience if technician does not have PTCB certification
- Coursework/Training: Pharmacy technician program
- Coursework/Training: Sterile compounding (and hazardous drug) coursework
- PTCB preferred (may be required where applicable by state)
- PTCB certificate in Hazardous Drug Management preferred
- Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) preferred where applicable by role and state
- Oncology experience, hospital work experience base
Support and assist in the coordination of Pharmacy Services activities including preparation of sterile compounds both hazardous and non-hazardous using aseptic technique, compounding pharmacy maintenance and scheduled cleanings, inventory management of drugs and infusion supplies, ordering, stocking and receiving of medications and supplies, processes specialty orders, and maintains and stocks automated dispensing machine (ADM) where applicable. Job responsibility consists primarily of preparation of hazardous agents such as chemotherapy, anti-neoplastics, biological and hormone agents including investigational research drugs.
