      Position Highlights The Online Student Success Coach will partner with students from initial enrollment to graduation in order to help guide and motivate them to toward reaching their education goals. Through high impact conversations and exploration, Coaches will build and maintain formative student relationships with a focus on goal setting, overcoming obstacles, and achieving success. Using dashboards and established interventions, the Coach will engage in proactive outreach that identifies and intervenes with struggling students, celebrates accomplishments, and empowers students who are progressing toward their academic goals.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Student Advising & Success Coaching:
        • Will develop, document, and implement interventions designed to improve academic success, persistence, and degree completion of students within Arizona Online programs.
        • Use coaching and counseling techniques to provide one-to-one student conversations that are tailored to the needs of fully online college learners from the time of enrollment to the time of degree completion.
        • Assist students with efficiently negotiating University processes and procedures, including referrals to appropriate campus partners when needed.
        • Conduct proactive outreach and ongoing monitoring of students who are demonstrating risk-factors. Monitor, act upon, and document outreach in response to early alerts, LMS reports, online learner readiness assessment tools, enrollment and course drop reports, and other internal dashboards.
        • Serve as the academic advisor for Arizona Online Non-Degree Seeking students including registration assistance, academic coaching, and recurring enrollment or a shift toward degree-seeking pathways with the University of Arizona (where applicable).
      • Specialized Projects:
        • Collaborate with Senior Success Coaches in support of programming for specialized populations such as: first-time first-year, transfers, students enrolled in gateway courses, students experiencing academic difficulty or transitions, graduate students, and other specialized student populations.
      • Other Duties as Assigned
        • Contribute to ODCE’s strategic plan through scholarly practice and ongoing professional development.
        • Participate in relevant departmental meetings, hiring committees, and special projects that support Arizona Online Student Success Initiatives.

      Minimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree.
      • 1 year of relevant work experience.
