What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between the target language and English speakers
- Follow established interpretation protocol and provide clear and accurate renditions
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
- Understand and use appropriate terminology in the healthcare industry
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and work effectively in a diverse environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Demonstrated experience and/or verifiable training & certification as a professional interpreter
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations throughout the State of Alabama
- Access to the Internet for work-related communication
- Commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in the healthcare, government services, or education sectors
- Familiarity with technical terminology in the language access industry
