Trinity Christian College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Nursing, beginning August 2025.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a master’s degree in nursing is required, a doctorate with a nursing focus is preferred. Clinical practice experience in obstetrics/ women’s health/ maternal newborn care, with ability to teach both theory and clinical is required. Additional experience and ability to teach in a second clinical area such as pediatrics, adult health, or mental health preferred. Alternatively, ability to teach introductory level nursing courses also an option. Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Illinois is required. Successful experience in teaching at the baccalaureate level is desirable.

Successful candidates are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside of the classroom through faculty-mentored research, advising, and other settings. Trinity particularly welcomes applications from candidates who have professional or personal narratives that reflect diverse perspectives, as well as those who have engaged with issues relevant to preparing students to work and live with intercultural competence and compassion.
Responsibilities:
This is a 9-month tenure-track faculty role. Primary responsibilities include teaching both the theory and clinical components of the Care of Childbearing Families nursing course. Additional responsibility to teach in a second area of curriculum. Faculty members also advise and mentor students and contribute to the development of the department and the college.
All faculty participate in faculty governance and are expected to pursue a healthy scholarly and research agenda. In their first year, new faculty participate in a year-long formation program that begins with a three-day institute in August.
About the Department:
The department of nursing offers a professional program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. More information about the department can be found on the department website: https://www.trnty.edu
Salary Range:
For Assistant Professor, the range is $50,500 to $66,500, based on degree, experience, and qualifications. A higher rank will also mean additional compensation. Benefits include health coverage, life insurance, and disability insurance.
Timeline:
The committee will begin reviewing applications May 27, 2025 and continue until the position is filled.
